Hello, my name is Laura and I'm a junior Math Programming major at UT. I grew up in the Air Force and got to live in different places growing up. Once my dad retired from the military we settled in Cape Cod, MA. Sign Language was my first language and is the language I use with most of my friends. In a way, I view sign language as art. If you had 10 artists draw the same apple all of the pictures would look distinctly different. This is the same as when you sign. The signer has control over his/her words the way an artist has control over their paintbrush. I love both art and technology so I am very excited for this class 😊
